I have tutored for several years now. I tend to tutor science more than any other subject, and particularly biology and earth sciences. However, my tutoring services are offered for a variety of subjects. For example, I have spent time tutoring students who needed assistance with their writing skills. I have a love for the writing process. It allows students to be creative and express themselves in a way that most subjects do not. When it comes to my tutoring style, I firmly believe in positive reinforcement. I believe that when a student does well, he or she should be rewarded. This gives the student an incentive to keep doing well. I also believe that visual aids are a wonderful tool when tutoring. This allows the student to visually see what they're learning. In turn, it is easier for the student to apply what was learned in real life situations. I attended Roger Williams University, where I received degrees in both psychology and marine biology. I am also considering going back to school for my master's. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy competitive swimming. I also love practically any type of sport. Athletics has always been a big passion of mine.
