Experience

Tutoring: - Started volunteer tutor service for JROTC Cadets at Franklin High School. - Personal tutor in math and chemistry for friends, siblings of friends. - Junior Achievement volunteer teacher - First time tutoring as a job. Academic Credentials: ACT Score: 35 (Taken twice) SAT Score: 2170 (Taken once) --- Math potion: 770 SAT II Subject - Math Level 2: 800 SAT II Subject - Chemistry: 800 AP Calculus BC Exam (self-studied): 5 AP Calculus AB Final Grade: 98 (Grade 11) Motives and Philosophy: Previously, I have always tutored for free to friends who needed help in these subjects. As someone from a household that holds education in high regard, I feel strongly about teaching in learning. Everyone can learn, but sometimes they need to be taught in slightly different language. I hope to take this role and help kids understand the importance of math, but also enjoy learning it in school - that's what I care about more than anything. I want to turn this into a job to make my service more professional, and to help my parents pay for some of the added-up senior year expenses. Thank you for considering me!

Hobbies

I am extremely interested in music, and have played piano, double bass, and guitar from young ages. I also love drawing and painting, and have a black belt in Taekwondo. Most people do not expect math tutors to have artistic hobbies, but to me it is all the same; all endeavors will require both logic and creativity, not one or the other. In High School, I am a part of Model UN debate, Youth Council volunteering, Coding Club, Asian Awareness Cultural Club, JROTC, and Cross-Country. For any kid interested in these clubs, or that has questions about high school, standardized tests, or college admissions, I am always here to help!
